Intimate Arlington Virginia Courthouse Elopement Wedding

Allison + Jake

Jake and Allison’s wedding was featured in Munaluchi Bride’s Spring/ Summer 2020 issue and I was very excited for them and honored to be their photographer. High school sweet hearts, Allison and Jake originally had planned to have a traditional wedding with their friends and family from Atlanta but the COVID-19 pandemic derailed their plans. They were unsure if they would even have their wedding when things slowly started to piece themselves together. First they found an officiant that would marry them. Then their marriage license was delivered with just two days before their wedding. Lastly, with some magic and a little bit of luck (and next day air shipping), their masks arrived the day before. Weeks after their ceremony, the couple was interviewed with Good Morning America about their wedding. When they were asked to give advice for brides and grooms during this pandemic, they simply stated: “celebrate your love no matter what is going on.” Cheers and congratulations to you both!
