Looking for the most popular wedding dates in 2026? Congratulations, you’ve hit gold. Get cozy and take some notes. Let me introduce you to one of my couples who did everything right.
Cameron and Sakshee’s wedding weekend is here and its the kickoff for the busiest season for weddings and photographers. They found their perfect wedding day before the autumn blitz started and locked everything down months ago. They will tell you how much they love a good date. I think all engaged couples love a good date. I’m not just talking first dates or cupcakes and cocktails kind of dates, but actual dates to get married. When dates line up for you, it feels meant to be. And let’s be real—some dates are basically sold out before you even start looking.
So, what are the most popular wedding dates in 2026? Why are these dates so popular and what should you do to secure your priority wedding date? Spoiler: it’s usually about three things—weather, long weekends, and numbers that look cute on an invitation. And unless you’re planning 2 years or more in advance, your date may already be gone. Don’t sweat it though! I’m here to drop some info and help you get that coveted date before anyone else.
Fall is the Undisputed King.
Take a seat summer, autumn wears the crown. September and October weddings almost always booked solid because the weather is crisp, the leaves are colorful, and no one (or maybe its just me) is sweating through their suit. Expect Saturdays in September and October to disappear first.
Long Weekends = Longer Parties.
Memorial Day, Labor Day, even the sneaky Sunday before Columbus Day—if there’s a built-in Monday off, couples will grab it fast. It’s the golden ticket for a full weekend of events without forcing your guests to burn extra PTO. It also allows your guests to stay around a little longer.
The “Cool Number” Factor.
We’ve all seen it: dates like 2/2/22, 11/11, or 4/20 (yeah, you know someone thought about it). Easy-to-remember dates with repeating numbers or patterns always trend, and Vegas chapels practically run 24/7 when they pop up.
June Still Has Its Fans.
Classic June brides and grooms aren’t going anywhere. Summer is still a big hit for school teachers, college couples, and anyone dreaming of a sunny outdoor bash. Plus the days are long and the sunsets are bright. Indoor venues for summer weddings are also very popular and in demand.
Dates to Look For in 2026
Popular double digit dates include:
- 2/2/26
- 6/6/26
- 12/12/26
Wedding dates to pair with holidays:
- 2/14/26 (Valentine’s Day on a Saturday equals maximum romance!)
- 7/4/26 (Fireworks to end your wedding would be legendary!)
- 9/5/26 (Labor Day weekend kickoff. Gettin’ married, watchin’ football, life is good!)
- 2/29/26 (Leap Day—this is as unique as they come!)
If you’re flirting with any of these dates, start locking in venues and vendors right now! Trending dates vanish fast. If you’re eyeing a date that falls in October, on a long weekend, or looks good on paper—grab it Otherwise, you’ll be fighting 20 other couples for the same Saturday. Don’t overlook Friday weddings either! Fridays remains another good option for and often ignored day. Book that venue and quickly book that super smart photographer who told you the best dates for 2026 who you can also contact here. Spoiler alert, its me :).
