Andrew and Josline’s engagement session at the Georgetown Waterfront park in Washington, DC was surprisingly warm for what is usually a cold time in the DC area. We knew we had to take advantage of the favorable weather and also wanted to make sure the couple could look their best without sacrificing warmth.
There is so much to use at the waterfront park for amazing photographs, it can be overwhelming having so many options and trying to fit them into a session. I asked the couple what locations stood out to them the most and then we worked our way down, exploring all of Georgetown.
My favorite part of this engagement session actually occurred after we were done. Every one in the region is familiar with Georgetown Cupcake but theres a spot thats even better in my opinion. Baked and Wired is a lesser known but more delicious bakery that not only has a variety of amazing cupcakes, it also is far less crowded than GC. I was happy to be able to have two of my favorite things in one day, photography and dessert.
