Joe and Victoria had their engagement session at the REACH at the Kennedy Center.
The Kennedy Center is not necessarily a new venue. However, the renovation that has occurred around it certainly makes it feel that way. Its one of DC’s “newer “outdoor spaces that boasts bold colors and open scenery. This spot is great for weekend hangouts, rooftop lunch dates and couples looking to soak up the summer vibes. With wedding day a few short months away, Joe and Victoria made a trip from California for their engagement session. When someone talks about two people being in sync and a perfect fit, these two were spot on.
From the first snap to the last, they were true to each other and the moment and made this session fun. I’ll say it to anybody who will listen, the Kennedy Center in the heart of Washington, DC has the best views in the region. I’m not exaggerating either, I really mean it. On the east side of the building, you can see the quintessential DC landmarks, the National Mall, the Thomas Jefferson Memorial and the Washington Memorial. But the west side, is where the money is. The west overlooks the Potomac River and into Arlington, VA and provides an unobstructed view of the sunset. It’s literally perfect!
If you’re looking for a picturesque location to catch a radiant summer sunset, this is the first place you need to go. Joe and Victoria took me here and Teddy Roosevelt Island for their engagement and I haven’t stopped bragging about it since. Beautiful backdrops. Vibrant colors. Open and spacious. The Kennedy Center is a gem hiding in plain sight.
