Old Westminster Winery Surprise Engagement

Picture this: ’twas winter and youre feeling fine and maybe a little chilly so you throw on a cute (but cozy and stylish) outfit and head to Old Westminster Winery in Maryland with your partner to brighten up a typical Sunday.

You get to the winery and see the winery photographer taking photos of guests and the holiday decor. The photographer asks: “hey, would you like your photo taken?” Of course you do! You look great, your partner looks decent (which is a win!) and you need a new photo for instagram any way. You both snap a photo, you say thanks and you start to walk away but your partner says “not so fast!” You’re confused, of course, but confusion turns into shock, shock turns into awe and your partner is getting down on a knee holding an engagement ring. It’s the moment you’ve been waiting for but didn’t think it was going to happen today of all times! Then they ask “will you marry me?” And its the easiest “yes” you’ve ever given.

Now also imagine, that the winery photographer was actually hired by your *new* fiancé and they photographed the entire thing! The shock, the awe, the smiles, the kisses, the ring; all photographed for you to live through again and share with friends and family. Hooray, you!

Thats the importance of having a surprise proposal photographer. Nick planned his surprise proposal to Sam perfectly and was rewarded infinitely with the photographs and memories of their big moment.

The Old Westminster Winery provided a scenic yet private and romantic space for their proposal to happen and they even gave the couple a celebratory glass of wine. Sam was completely caught by surprise and Nick knew he got the reaction he had hoped for. I’m sure there are great holiday gifts out there but an engagement ring is hard to beat!
