Rosewood Farm Wedding

This Rosewood Farm wedding is brought to you by Gracie, Frank and a lot of love.

I love wedding traditions. American weddings are filled with them but it can be hard to discern why or where they came from. Often times, American weddings can be a fusion of two cultures. When working with cultural weddings you get to experience these traditions at their fullest.

Frank and Gracie’s wedding had a lot of traditions they wanted to pass down from their parents. The color red in Chinese culture is the color of joy, prosperity and good luck. This important color was seen through out the day in Gracie’s qi-pao or gown. It’s also the color of the envelopes that her guests and family brought up to them as they shared tea in their tea ceremony. Their tea ceremony was also great to experience. It was a way for them to connect with all of their guests, and share words of wisdom. The tea ceremony as well is a tradition filled with history.

Once the ceremonies and formalities were done, I enjoyed Frank and Gracie’s ability to let loose and celebrate with everyone. The newlyweds didn’t shy away from the dance floor. Cake and dance moves were served plenty. The couple even had an ice cream truck serve guests directly. They made the absolute most of their day and their photos truly reflected the amazing time they had.
